Harvest Festivals celebrate Mother Earth's kindness - without good harvests, we wouldn't be able to eat. Hindus believe that our well-being is directly related to the health of Mother Earth, the ultimate goddess.

Navrathri/Dusshera

Navrathri is the celebration of  the goddess for nine days  - each day is for a different form of the goddess. On the 10th day, called Dusshera, people celebrate Durga, the mighty warrior goddess.  Or, they cheer the the defeat of the evil king Ravana, by the god king Rama and his army of brave monkeys and bears!  Get Your Festival Box to make your Ravana and Durga puppets, practice your danidya raas moves, and more!
